# Fixed Supply & Emission Philosophy

PIJS follows a fixed total supply model with a long-term emission schedule designed to balance early network bootstrapping with sustainable security over time.

A fixed supply establishes scarcity and predictability, while controlled emission ensures that rewards remain meaningful without introducing excessive inflation. The protocol avoids unrestricted token issuance, which historically leads to value dilution and short-term exploitation.

Instead, PIJSChain adopts a progressive emission model, where rewards are distributed gradually based on participation, performance, and time-bound commitment.
